They developed a unique white-labelled wholesale model to sell tours and itineraries for hospitability industry and tours operators. They approached ZOFELA to build a new SaaS platform which the end consumers can white-label for their hotels or tour operating business proving them an access to technology at relatively cheaper price.

Travezl’s main motto was to offer market leading technology solutions to assist travel businesses enhance customer experience with their travel brand. The company wanted to provide a platform so that tour operators can gain control over their customers’ holiday bookings. End consumer should be able to organise trip itinerary and plan their holidays.

The Objective

Travel has always been an integral part of human life to reduce stress. People are always looking for new and exciting locations and most of the places out there become mundane after one visit. Besides how many times we try to book the next best trip using the many third-party aggregators?. The recent covid-19 element completely plunges the travel industry.

Introducing Travezl, a travel company based in the China that provides exciting tours booking and itinerary planning to remote locations with tour guides to make your travel adventure memorable.

Travezl approached ZOFELA to create a SaaS platform to offer technology solutions to the hotels and tour guide and operators. The main objective was to create an online platform that will allow users to book a tour for travel purposes and with any budget. In addition, to create a full tour, add multiple starting dates for the same tour display map of the locations.

The customer should be able to explore all tours, write reviews about their travel, and book tours. The platform should be able to accept payments through Stripe, PayPal and other payment gateways.

The Challenge

Travezl operated as SaaS company & is responsible for providing support and product training to hotel and tour operating industry. The team was managing all incoming tour booking requests using Outlook, Excel, and email. As these tools don’t integrate with each other, booking tours and itineraries was highly manual, unscalable and open to errors.

Both customers and tour administrators were dealing with long wait times as there were multiple appointment initiation points that had to be monitored. Besides the service phone number, clients were also able to request bookings from many locations on the website and within the customer portal. The company wanted to create a new platform which will be white labeled for each tour operators while still allow the end travelers to see and compare the pricing for tour booking and tour guides.

The Solution

Human-centered design is very important to connect user goals with business goals. It indeed plays a vital role to create user empathy, their need, and evaluate flexibilities when they use the platform. The platform needed to be designed in line with the human perspective and psychological behavior. To create a feel for the user to stay on the site and maximize the transaction rate.

The first thing after defining problems was to perform competitor analysis of other directly and indirectly associated travel companies’ websites to gather data, possible improvements, and feature overlap.

The main target was to find common features, existing solutions, weaknesses, and unique values.

The word travel is quite vast as it a lot of things associated with it. It has several domains. Not everyone is looking for adventure. Different range of travelers faces different problems. After stakeholder meeting online and defining product and business goals. it was crucial to have an initial mind map of possible traveler needs. Our team divided the map into pre-travel, in-travel, and post-travel sections to understand user behavior.

To understand real problems and pain points, we started with user interviews. There was a total of 10 participants.

We then designed and developed complete front and backend tour booking SaaS platform that provides a comfortable experience to view a tour and book it online. The platform can provide clear steps in booking, proper error handling, and a comfortable checkout process. Merchants can upload the tours, manage booking slots and communicate with the travelers through platform.

The Result

We delivered a modern and interactive B2B mobile responsive SaaS platform for travel agents to present enticing hospitality solutions across the world for their customers.

In the platform, affiliate travel agents can view the top-selling and most popular hotels and villas in different locations. Gaining access to the website allows them to view various budget-friendly hotel packages which they can then book on behalf of their customers. All bookings can be entered by the travel agent into the bespoke backend panel provided to manage rentals and organise internal records.

We developed multiple backend web portals for this client which is exclusively used by travel agents based on their desired location and travel networks.

Our technical input allowed the client to go on to achieve the following;

  • Business expansion as a large distributive digital travel network across various across the world
  • Increase revenue generation due to greater availability and streamlined digital solution.
