Office Choice had a very outdated eCommerce platform which was very hard to maintain and difficult to get indexed on search engine. Originally, Office Choice approached ZOFELA for their digital marketing need but after doing through audit of their website, we recommended a complete revamp and re-platforming of their existing website and assess their digital marketing strategy for long-term including the utilizing their franchisee network local presence for driving significant traffic to their main website.

The Objective

Office Choice is one of the largest organisations dealing in stationery and home supplies. The business wanted to be a market leader and trendsetter through eCommerce. However, the existing eCommerce platform wasn’t scalable, and UI wasn’t effective and responsive enough to help users perform actions envisioned by the brand.

As we all know, a perfect user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) are the two elements that make the biggest impression on modern-day customers. Hence, the client was planning to improve their site by re-platforming the it on the Magento eCommerce. The client reached out to ZOFELA to create a great user experience as the client wanted to trigger the factors that lead to conversion and actual purchase.

Office Choice was also looking to streamline their business, improve their customers buying experience and migrate to a platform to handle their growing business.

The Challenge

Office Choice is a megastore supplying businesses and consumers with office supplies, stationaries and fit out products and has over 20,000 products.

Office Choice approached ZOFELA and was looking to streamline their business, improve their customers buying experience and migrate to a platform to handle their growing business.

At that time, Office Choice’s existing online store was on custom eCommerce platform and the goal was to redevelop the website and migrate onto Magento.

The caveat of migrating to Magento was not only migrating the 20,000 products – including categories, product descriptions, images and prices- but also migrating all user data and maintaining the Office Choice’s SEO Google Ranking.

ZOFELA needed to build a more user centric and easy to navigate online store, migrated all products while maintaining previous customer data and SEO ranking.

The Solution

ZOFELA analysed and drew up the key market segments that were the most profitable for Office Choice and set about designing and building a new online store that simultaneously answered the core needs of these segments from the ground up on Magento, a best-in-class eCommerce platform that helps online businesses grow faster.

We then built a deep custom integration between the eCommerce platform and Office Choice’s ERP in order to keep important product, customer and order data synchronised, and progressively migrated the key historical data from the legacy platforms to the new store.
Finally, we integrated the new store with the class-leading marketing automation platform and built out detailed customer segmentation, engagement and marketing strategies tailored to each disparate market ready for ZOFELA Managed Services to execute.

ZOFELA migrated all 20,000 products by sourcing all images and content from the existing/old platform. All customer data and eCommerce SEO was maintained, and the entire project was completed on time and budget, with the old website being in operation and staying live during the entire process.
