The Objectives

HYDAC is a leader in motion control and fluid technology, offering products that are locally engineered and manufactured to Australian Standards. HYDAC also provides clients with engineering advice, calibration and hydraulic services, personalised drawings and designs, technical training, and other services.​

The objective of the new digital transformation project was to provide an ecommerce capability along with information on courses and online registration, providing manuals and client portal for self servicing requirement. Along with this, company wanted to establish themselves as a leader in the market and increase their search presence online.​

Company also wanted to streamline the inventory management, order processing and customer pricing sync therefore we used Magento to SAP integration to boost efficiency. ​

Objectives:​

  • Ensure site architecture and navigation enable easy browsing and accessibility of education options within the course catalogue​
  • Drive conversion of site visitors into contacts and ultimately uptake the training courses​
  • Develop an eCommerce capability to sell product and courses online​
  • Sync customer specific pricing and orders with SAP through Magento to SAP integration​

  • Establish SEO foundations to increase search engine traffic, drive future growth and minimize impact to the existing traffic and customers​
  • On Time maintenance need for changing the site structure as business demands along with Conversion rate optimisation along the journey.​

The Challenge

Understanding that Hydac was elevating its market reach, customer journey and experience, we needed to ensure that the message across all our creatives and eCommerce platform clearly needed to communicate what the company does and how the new site needed to be structured to serve the right demographic. ​

Company has vast number of products and range of services that it offers to the different industry sectors. It required enormous efforts in planning the UX, creating the depth in navigation and site structure to make sure that different types of users can easily find the information they are looking for. ​

Company also needed to integrate the site with SAP ERP system to streamline inventory, order processing and resource planning. The previous site didn’t meet expectations in terms of user engagement which contributed to a low conversion rate. ​

The Solution​

ZOFELA designed a new eCommerce website on Magento 2 platform and built a multi website backend that enabled HYDAC to control all web and mobile features from a single platform. We also carried out integration of SAP with Magento development, providing HYDAC with comprehensive financial management capabilities for enhanced business transactions.​

​UI/UX enhancements​

We redesigned HYDAC’s website using Magento 2 migration, providing a fresh new look and feel. UX improvements were made to improve the user experience, keeping visitors on the site for longer. ​

Course Training eCommerce Module​

We developed an online courses eCommerce module on Magento and and then integrated the orders to an LMS platform to deliver the courses. ​

To acquire new customers, we scaled our spend and search activity across the new territories, while optimising naming conventions for high priority product groups that were missing out on revenue and impression share due to rank. ​
