The Objective

The original website for Aussie disposal was very simple and it lacked the content that modern online shoppers expect. Company wanted a new ecommerce web design that would allow people to find products easily and can get assistance through Personalised content experience. When Aussie Disposal’s ecommerce platform began to show the tell-tale signs that it was in need of an upgrade, the company turned to ZOFELA and Magento to build a powerful, scalable and flexible new platform to connect their digital systems to and orchestrate data flows across the business.

The Challenge

Aussie Disposal is an online specialist offering high quality camping equipment and outdoor clothing and footwear at affordable prices along with their statewide stores with ambitious growth plans.

Aussie Disposal realised that too many of their order management tasks were manual which was proving to be both time-consuming and distracting for a team trying to realise ambitious growth plans. They had outgrown their ecommerce platform which had become inefficient and was struggling to meet capacity.

When they decided to upgrade their ecommerce platform, they needed a powerful but flexible ecommerce solution which could connect seamlessly with their EPOS system, payment processor and shipping services, as well as support plans for expansion into marketplaces like Amazon and eBay.

In order to drive even more traffic to their stores and website, the brand decided to do the following:

  • Utilise display and Google shopping feed advertisements to reach customers at different points in their purchase journey.
  • Launch promotions using emails, social media, and ad campaigns to drive customers to their store.
  • Have their website or product images from their online store slated to ad creatives.
  • As a growing agency, they needed a more targeted approach to keep the campaign cost down and generate more ROI

The Solution

ZOFELA completed a thorough analysis of Aussie Disposal’s current and future requirements and recommended a solution that would provide end-to-end connectivity between their online store, EPOS and fulfilment systems and selected marketplaces.

Integrating Magento’s platform with ZOFELA’s middleware, our proprietary Integration Platform as a Service solution (IPaaS), meant the new system was capable of providing a single customer view of activity across all sales channels, a clear picture of how products were performing, and gave staff the ability to easily and quickly list and manage orders from Amazon, eBay and other marketplaces.

The project was one of our largest migrations to date, lending itself perfectly to our expertise in replatforming enterprise clients. Our Magento web developers created an intuitive online experience for Friction Free users, with an improved checkout flow that seamlessly guides users to checkout, whilst embracing the brand’s unique personality.

Since teaming up with ZOFELA, Aussie Disposal has seen remarkable results – during just the single month, for example, it gained more than 50K new website visitors, as well as a respectable number of leads and customers.
